confused about consuming dairy-can you eat greek yogurt or any cheeses on this diet? Also, can you use vinegars or soy sauce to marinade veggies & meats? Lastly, can you consume Bragg Amino Acids?

My understanding of the traditional hunter - gatherer diet is that women collected around 90 to 95% of the foods...mostly fruit, vegetables, nuts, small animals (e.g. lizards) and stationary seafood (such as clams and mussels). It seems that the emphasis in your information on large animal meat foods, and your limiting of fruit is out of step with a true paleo diet. I would consder a true paleo diet to be substantially fruit, vegetables and nuts with a small amount of seafood and a rare meal of meat.
I have derived this information through a degree in anthropology, and my ancestral connection as an australian aboriginal. I don't present this information as definitive, but instead in the spirit of inviting comment.

I am a health care practitioner(Naturopath/Herbalist) and during my research at medical school I found that the etiology of modern disease is modern environment and modern diet, simple as that. I tried to resolve this issue by researching the past and finding the common thread to health. This lifestyle program is the answer..back to the true basics..

There is no exact answer to this question. Everyone is different and a lot of factors come into play such as metabolism. In every instance, it is recommended consulting a health professional before taking on any diet. I can only provide information based on my own experience and research. For me I lost 1 pant size after 2-3 weeks. Pant size I found was a more accurate measurement as many things can cause the scales to vary. I also limited fruit which is allowed on the diet but I did this to speed up my results. I also did light exercise of 2 times per week. 1 pant size I believe is equivalent to 5 pounds of fat. This diet is one that makes sense and a healthier alternative to many other diets out there but I am sorry, nobody can give you an exact answer to this.

There was no answer to Alba's question about how much weight loss can you expect. I am a heart patient and I have seizures as well as a borderline diabetic. I need to lose about 80 pounds and I was checking to see if this diet will be enough to aid in this.
